Join Cary Players for our 2025 Theatre Workshop Series! All are encouraged to participate. Those interested can participate at no cost, but please note that registration is required and space is limited. Information for each workshop and links to register can be found below.

Play the Part - An Acting Workshop on Character Development
This workshop will explore how to create the character’s history, discuss the importance of dramaturgy for building a fully realized character, and the importance of body posturing and movement.

Play it Solo - An Acting Workshop on Mastery of the Monologue
This workshop will focus on how to choose the right monologue (length, content, emotion), break down the monologue, deliver the monologue (focus, intent, levels), and tips for memorization.

Behind the Play - A Technical Theatre Workshop
This workshop will focus on a brief introduction to a variety of technical theatre roles (lighting, sound, stage) and the equipment used.

Sing, Dance, Play - A Musical Theatre Audition Workshop
This workshop will focus on preparing for an participating in musical theatre auditions. Participants will engage in a mock musical theatre audition and receive feedback on their vocal and dance performance in addition to overall audition tips.
